I may say “y’all” a lot…but sometimes, I seriously forget that I live in Texas. I live in the bubble that is Austin, which seems FAR from Texas. Last weekend, I drove about an hour and a half out of
my bubble Austin to photograph a wedding in La Grange.
For real, y’all….there were farms.animals.everywhere. Here’s an Instagram to prove it:
Anyone who knows me, knows my level of fear for most things nature. HOWEVER, I was actually pleasantly surprised to find myself LOVING the change of scenery for a day! It was really FUN and helped to get my creative juices flowing!
The whole reason for this venture outside of the city, was to photograph Annie + Taylor’s wedding day. These two are a Houston couple who got hitched in their hometown of La Grange. Here are some of my favorite photos from the first part of their wedding day!
A little bit of drizzle didn’t stop us from getting beautifully lit portraits! Ahhhh overcast skies are my favorite. (photographer nerd alert!)
Side note: this INCREDIBLE tree on the groom’s father’s property that is pictured several times below happens to be the second oldest oak tree in the entire state of Texas!!! Rumor has it, it’s definitely the most beautiful one!
That’s all for now, folks!! CONGRATULATIONS to Annie + Taylor on their newlyweddedness 🙂
Also a huge “thank you” to my second shooter, Justin Douglas, for holding umbrellas, standing on chairs, and snapping some awesome shots along the way!
