I’m pretty certain that this is my longest wedding post. Ever. I think you’ll forgive me once you see these images.
Lauren and Bobby’s Nautical Lake Erie wedding was one of the highlights of my year. Not only was their wedding spectacularly designed, but the couple is insanely sweet and super cute. The anticipation for their big day quadrupled after their nautical engagement session last year. And rightfully so.
If I interject my “blah blah blah” before and after each photo, this post will truly go on for eternity….so for the most part, I’ll let the photos tell the story…
It was up in the air as to whether or not they were going to be able to pull this off….but at the last minute we got word that their sailboat entrance into the reception was going to work out! Bobby helped Lauren aboard their boat, the Johnny O (named after Bobby’s father), and they came into their reception with style!
Ok. The details. WOW! Between Lauren and her mom, Sandy, who also happens to be a master designer, the carefully selected details came together flawlessly. There was a sea of blue glass and nautical details that are certainly magazine-worthy…
The band, “The Chosen Few”, was most definitely the best band I have ever seen perform at a wedding. Ever. No exaggeration. Not only were they incredibly talented, but they were SO entertaining!!!
Get ready for this next set of awesomeness…
Lauren’s dad gave QUITE a toast…complete with Lauren’s employment history. The wedding happened to fall on Lauren’s parent’s 28th wedding anniversary. Apparently Mr. Blazek’s proposal left a little (ok, a lot) to be desired…so he re-proposed to Mrs. Blazek at the conclusion of his toast. It was SO amazing–everyone, including yours truly, was wiping away the tears watching it all unfold.
And if you aren’t already wow’ed by this wedding… Lauren’s bridesmaids drew the guests’ eyes up to the balcony where they began to do a little dance to The Pointer Sisters’ “JUMP” and parted the crowd for Lauren to reveal her reception wedding dress! HOW.AWESOME.
What’d I tell ya? Amazing, right??
It was torture, TORTURE, I tell ya, to keep these photos under wraps until the Openlanders returned from their Jamaican honeymoon. But, alas, they’re HOME! I assure you, I hit “PUBLISH” on this pre-written blog the second I
stalked saw on Facebook they were back.

A massive CONGRATULATIONS goes out to Lauren + Bobby on their “newlyweddedness”!
