You hear it all the time in the real estate industry: “Location, location, LOCATION!” Personally when it came to selecting my photo shoot locations, I was never THAT concerned about the location I was shooting at. It’s all about LIGHT with photography. However, I was recently introduced to a brand new wedding venue in Canyon Lake that makes LOCATION a pretty important asset to photos. I was recently asked to do a photo shoot at Events at the Pointe, a new wedding venue on the property of Canyon Lakeview Resort. Located just an hour and a half away from Austin, this place is the perfect distance away to feel like you’re escaping the hustle and bustle of the city, but close enough that it’s an easy commute. And then, there’s the DEER. Yep. Deer. TONS of deer. PEOPLE-FRIENDLY deer. But I’m getting ahead of myself…
On the property is several amazing little cabins. The cabins can comfortably sleep about 12 people–but you could stuff many more in there! Here’s a shot of my bride, Laura, getting her hair and makeup done in one of the cabins by the fabulous Kendall of Mayhem Beauty.
Then we moved outdoors for some fun! Laura is a SUPER CREATIVE bride who really can do it all! She made those GIANT flowers out of paper herself, as well as her bouquet you see in the next set of photos—all paper! Fantastic!
Isn’t she stunning!?
Ready to take it up a notch??? Here comes the best part of the location…..the DEEEEER! YAY!
I think this one is my favorite—-check out the deer’s tongue! BAHAHA!
Fantastic!! So BRIDES, if you’re looking for some photos that your friends will NOT have, book the dream team for your wedding! Check out Events at the Pointe for your Canyon Lake wedding, moi for your photography needs, and Yellow Umbrella Events to make everything beautiful and run smoothly! I can assure you, if you do, you will not be disappointed!
And I leave you with one final image shot on my iPhone. She’s smiling just for you 🙂
That last picture cracks me up! But these are stunning! I have been dying to go and shoot some pictures here… love what you did!
