Do you know what’s better than photographing a gorgeous couple getting married on a beautiful Saturday morning in Texas at the Barr Mansion?
Candice and Kyle were hitched at the Barr Mansion on Saturday, and the whole wedding from start to finish was dripping in Texas charm. I ADORE morning weddings…there’s just something so cheery and bright about them.
The ceremony was held in the yard. It was a bright and beautiful 73 degree day in Austin!
Candice was the epitome of a southern belle bride coming down the aisle towards her new hubs!
If there’s one trick I’ve learned as a wedding photographer over the years, it’s being able to roll with the punches! Wedding day timelines almost ALWAYS go flying out the window for one reason or another. This wedding was no different…what started out as about 2 1/2 hours for portraits turned into about 30 minutes to complete ALL portraits….and you know what? We got it done. And the photos turned out just lovely! See for yourself 🙂
The brunch reception was held in the “barn” (which I must tell you–is the most amazing barn I’VE ever seen!). TONS of beautiful natural light flowing in, killer windows, amazing high ceilings…pretty much perfection. Enter the new MR & MRS:
I loved this idea::: Candice and Kyle left a keepsake Bible on the guest book table for guests to circle their favorite verses for the newlyweds! YAY for creative details!
So much for a “TEASER” blog post, right!?! I couldn’t help myself! Once I started going through all my images from Saturday, I immediately wanted to share them! What a fantastic day!!
To add to all the wedding day awesomeness, I must make special mention to Elyse-the coordinator at the Barr Mansion, who was spectacular throughout the whole process. The Barr Mansion is one of my new favorite wedding venues. From the ambiance, to the decor, to the FABULOUS staff and incredible food (umm…pulled pork biscuits and french toast station anyone??)…I HIGHLY recommend it! Also “the Knot Tyer” officiant Scott Payne who, yet again, was the jack-of-all-trades by helping with portraits, making announcements, helping with the bride’s dress, and even playing the piano and serenading us all while preparations were underway! And one of my favorite DJ services, Greenbelt DJ, had the talented and awesome Anthony on the job offering up awesome entertainment for the reception.
Another big CONGRATULATIONS to the beautiful newlyweds!!!
