On Saturday I was honored to photograph Ashley & Steve’s wedding day, and it was an absolute BLAST! I first met Ashley when she was one of the attendees for a Boudior Party hosted by a childhood friend of mine. Soon after she hired me for their wedding photos, and I did engagement shots for them in February. I LOVE repeat customers so much! My client relationships always develop into friendships, and that’s what makes this “job” so special for me. Anyhow, enough gushing, back to the wedding day! The bride was so beautiful, and so CALM, and everything pulled together just wonderfully! My coverage started with the “getting ready” pictures, which, I have to admit, are really my favorite part of any wedding day. Ashley and her girls got ready at the groom’s parents’ beautiful home while sipping on mimosas having their hair and makeup perfected by an entourage of professionals. They were married at the Mother of Sorrows church, had some stellar in-between pictures taken at the Plumline nursery, and then finally headed to their bash at Stratigos Banquet and Conference center where they danced the night away (I mean, REALLY danced…a few glasses were broken, and I’m pretty sure they made about 3 million dollars with their money dances!). I also must say, I think the speeches were the best I’ve ever heard! The perfect balance of heartfelt and hilarious! Please enjoy a few of the highlight photos from this spectacular wedding, and congratulations to the bride and groom–who are currently honeymooning in St. Lucia as I sit here with my heat running in May in sweatpants and a snuggie!
The bride wore a stunning Maggie Sottero gown…loved it!
There’s always at least 1 camera ham at every wedding…and this flower girl was IT! LOVED her!
This bridal party was SO much fun–it was hard to get a serious picture of them…but that’s ok! It makes for more entertaining pictures! I won’t tell you what they were talking about the second before this shot was taken!
Rings Rings Rings! I couldn’t get enough of them!
Loved that shade of yellow! Bridesmaids gowns were from David’s Bridal.
More fun with the bridal party!
It may be a tad out of focus, but I had to post it! LOVE this shot!!!
This couple made me smile 🙂
SUCH fun! Anyhow, I’m still pouring through the 1100 shots I took (yikes, “Hello my name is Kara Marie and I’m an overshooter”. I know, I know, Im’ working on it!) and editing away! If you are interested in booking me for your wedding, you better do it now! Haha. The calendar is looking a LITTLE hectic right now, but I do still have a few dates left for 2010 and 2011.
